There seems to be a crazy frenetic pace to life in the 21st Century. We are busy all the time, running from one thing to the next, eyes somewhere on the road to the future.
One of things that is most popular is “working on ourselves," “being in process,” “becoming whole,” or “becoming my best self.”
There is nothing wrong with self-improvement. But when our life becomes built around destinations or a timeline, we often miss out on the best parts of life.
Many of us have a timeline in our head of when we need to be “whole” or “healthy.” And that timeline is literally squeezing the life and joy out of us.
Stop worrying about all the destinations. Slow down and enjoy where you are right now.
Don’t worship an image of yourself in the future when you are “put together.”
Enjoy you right here, right now, in this very moment. You are right where you need to be. Take it all in.
Celebrate yourself and how awesome you are right now.
There is no rush to be whole or healthy. You don't need to go along with the frenetic pace of today's world. Enjoy the beauty of the moment.
You are not a project to be fixed. You are a person to be discovered. So, discover who you are today. You are worth discovering.
And the growth and change and wholeness you are chasing after will come to you.
