Doing What You Are Born For Isn't Easy... But It Is So Worth It

I can't tell you how many times I've thrown my phone across the room in frustration, or wanted to bust my laptop to pieces in the middle of writing. Or experienced depression in a dry creative spell with photography.

But this is a GOOD thing. When we go through these struggles, we can know that we are doing the RIGHT thing, and that it WILL be so worth it.
Because so many give up when they get to the pain and heartache. They aren't strong enough to carry the gifts they've been given to carry.

You have something beautiful inside you that is screaming at you to let it out. To let it out into the world, where it will be able to truly make a difference in someone’s life.

This takes courage.

Putting ourselves out there, doing the right thing, making a difference. We may be ridiculed, even hated. People may reject us for being different than them.

The price of doing your life's work is high. But the price of NOT doing it, and settling for something that is easy and less painful is MUCH higher. A mediocre life. A nagging voice in your head saying “Why aren’t you doing what you were born for?!” The sting of bitter regret.

But it will always, ALWAYS be worth it.

When you find your life’s work, your passion, you won’t be able to imagine doing anything else in the world. This gives us a vision for what we want our lives to look like, and this vision gives the pain a purpose.

Keep grinding. It won't always be easy, but it will always be worth it.

In the midst of the struggle, there will be an immense feeling of satisfaction in knowing that you are making a difference in the world. That you are doing what you were born to do.

Question of the Day

Ask yourself, "Am I avoiding doing something I need to just because it's really hard?" Then ask how you can start doing that thing more and more each day, and soon it won't be so hard anymore.
