Who is this for?
This is for the hopeful ones, the dreamers, the ones who take massive action. The ones who are obsessed with changing the world in the way that only they can change the world.
The ones who aren't satisfied with "good enough." The ones who desire to make a difference in the world, a dent in the universe. The ones who aren't willing to fit in any box.
The ones who lay awake at night thinking about solutions to the biggest problems in the world. The ones who feel the pain of not doing what they are born to do. The ones who deeply desire to make a change in the world, to love the hurting, to do radical good, and to make a difference in the lives of millions.
So let me ask you a few questions.
Why are you alive?
Because the world doesn't need you to be anyone. We just need you to be you. We need you to be who God says you are.
Because when you are that someone that you are born to be, you change the world around you. You bring light to the darkness, hope to the hopeless, peace to the chaos.
This is why you need to know why you are alive. This is why you need to find who you are. Because no matter what you do, who you are is infinitely more important, valuable, and loved.
And we need the real you to come alive.
What's holding you back?
Who or what is holding you back from going after what's in your heart? What's stopping you from running freely into your destiny?
You are responsible for you. Nothing or no one else is. You can't control what happens to you, but you can always control how you respond.
Again, what's holding you back? Keep asking yourself that question until all excuses are dead and buried. Then start asking what you need to learn to get to where you need to go.
What have you got to lose?
That's the question I keep coming back to and asking myself. Why not?
Why not you? Why not me? What have we got to lose? Think about it.
Most of fear is based in "what ifs" instead of reality. Anne Jackson beautifully says:
"Until Fear is gone, (and realize he may never completely leave) make the decision to be courageous. The world needs your story in order to be complete."
Do you want regret in your life?
What's the worst that could happen? I'm not advocating for recklessness - far from it - but I do want all of us to wake up to the fact that we are going to die one day, and that day is coming sooner than we want.
Death is inevitable. Regret is not.
We are all going to die. We won’t be young forever, and we should use that as motivation to make life awesome while we’re here. This means that we need to stop worrying about what won’t matter in 40, 50, 60 years.
You will regret it forever if you don’t at least try. - Gary Vaynerchuk
Are you willing to settle for good enough?
Are you okay with a mediocre life and mediocre impact on the planet? Are you okay with a good job, nice house, and your retirement? Or are you willing to get uncomfortable in order to fulfill your calling?
Are you willing to give up the friends that are dragging you down and holding you back? In order to live up to the calling that is on your life, friends with the wrong mindsets and beliefs cannot be there to influence you.
You've got to be willing to make really, really hard choices.
Are you a settler or a pioneer? Think about it.
Are you thinking and dreaming BIG?
Listen, you're not doing yourself or the world any favors by thinking small.
This year, small poverty thinking is not allowed. You need to think and dream BIG. Bigger than you ever have. Bigger than you have the faith for.
The world is waiting to be changed, and small minds aren't going to make a dent. We need you to be 100% yourself and dream big so that you can do big stuff with your life.
Big people have big dreams and small people have small dreams. If you want to change who you are, begin by changing the size of your dream. The size of your dream determines the size of your impact.
Are you complaining about your life?
Or are you doing something about what it is that you don't like? You must accept that you are the only thing or person that you have the power to change.
Because you are a powerful person, and that power is what the world needs! Gratitude changes everything.
"Gratefulness is a muscle, not a feeling. You need to work it out daily." Tim Sanders
Complainers aren't the ones changing the world. Be grateful instead. Focus on the good, think about the good, work on the good.
What are you doing?
What are you doing in the next year, 5 years, 10 years to move up the Mount Everest you are born to climb?
Now is a great time to start. Start that blog you've been procrastinating (it's not that difficult), start a business, start putting your wisdom out on Facebook and Instagram every night, start pursuing the relationships that scare the hell out of you.
Just start. Start now, start small.
